Rev. Dr. Donald Haynes was ordained as an elder in the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church more than sixty years ago. He is a recipient of the Harry Denman Evangelism Award and authored a bi-weekly column, "Wesleyan Wisdom" for the United Methodist Reporter. For 17 years, Dr. Haynes taught "Wesleyan Studies" at Hood Theological Seminary.
